Traci's Warrior Dash

Traci is lowest in the mud pit.
Saturday, July 21st, Traci Tenhulzen participated in the Warrior Dash.  She was asked to join a team in place of one of the members who was unable to compete.  According to Traci, the 3.5-mile route was "over too soon".

"The great thing is, anyone who doesn't mind getting dirty can do this," she says, "there are lot's of places to stop and rest while waiting for the rest of the group."

Running the gauntlet, balancing on logs and climbing walls are apparently part of Traci's daily activities with family and office.  When asked about crawling under barbed wire and swimming through mud, Traci added "it was a fun team event that kept us smiling through the end....even after we got washed down with the fire hose."

Traci teaches step aerobics at the Northshore YMCA and has several people in her class that are elderly and overweight.  "This is a cake walk compared to keeping up with me in class."  Traci's neighbor, Kelly (pictured center) organized the team.  "She's very competitive, yet commented several times how beautiful the scenery was" added Traci.  Kelly's cousin and co-worker are also pictured here.

Based on Traci's experience, next year's event may very likely include a Team Tenhulzen.
